ALL MY SONS

by Arthur Miller

MY MEMORY:  I'd never directed an Arthur Miller play, so I jumped at the opportunity to be part of Two River's first season in their wonderful new theatre. To see our audiences so moved by a play from the 1940s that was as relevant as that day's headlines was a real pleasure. No one sets out to direct a play to win awards, but I have to admit that being declared the best revival of the year in New Jersey theatre was a huge and lovely surprise.

THE SMALL WARS AFTER THE BIG WAR.   All My Sons is being given an impeccable production. Kenneth Tigar is just great as Joe Keller, and Beth Dixon as his wife, Kate, complements him expertly. Danforth makes fine, full use of the theater's semicircular stage. Two River's production makes it well worth revisiting. – The New York Times

MILLER CLASSIC IS REBORN IN TWO RIVER PRODUCTION.   One of the best revivals of the season.  Danforth makes every Miller contrivance seem frighteningly plausible.  A must-see production.  – NJ Star-Ledger

"SONS" ALSO RISES AT TWO RIVER THEATER.  Danforth guides his very capable leads through the minefields of this emotionally exhausting play with a sure hand.  -- Asbury Park Press

"ALL MY SONS" LOOMS LARGE IN TWO RIVER REVIVAL. Guided by the astute, subtle directorial hand of Roger Danforth, All My Sons is revealed to have a great deal of subtlety and depth beyond the agitprop, self-righteous idealism for which other interpreters have been content to settle. -- Talkin Broadway
